NOOOOO!...Microsoft Cancels Marvel Ultimate Online!!

One of my dreams has officially been crushed! Earlier this week, head of Microsoft Game Studious, Shane Kim, announced the cancellation of the upcoming Marvel Universe Online. Marvel fans like me were salivating when the announcement was made a few years back that Cryptic studios, the developers behind City of Heroes and City of Villains, was hired by Microsoft to develop an MMO game for the Xbox 360 based on the Marvel Universe. I mean, just imagine an open world game with dozens of your favorite characters including Spiderman, Hulk, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and the X-Men among others! The possibilities seem endless. This was every comic fan's dream! Well, that dream is no more...well, at least for now. Just when I was looking forward to jumping into action with Captain America or bringing thunderous wrath down on bad guys with The Mighty Thor, Microsoft pulls the rug out from under me! Of course, high-profile games get canceled all the time, but this one HURT more than most. Thanks a lot Microsoft! It's gonna take me a while to get over this one!
