Stuff You Should Get in 2008!
Welcome to part 2 of my "Stuff" series. Now that Christmas is over, I hope everyone received all the hit games they wanted! Now, let's ring in the New Year with a new game console. If getting a new "Next-Gen" game console is on your list of resolutions for 2008, then you'll want to pay close attention! Whether you're a casual gamer who's looking to jump into the video game craze or you're a hardcore gamer who collects multiple systems, here is my list of the top 5 gaming systems that you NEED to get!
5. Playstation 2 - If you've been living under a rock for the first half of your life and are interested in video games as a hobbie, you might choose to just jump right in with a Playstation 2. With over 100 million PS2's sold, it actually still outsells some of the newer systems! The slim design is as small as a hardcover book and it has the cheapest price tag around. Besides, with over 1400 games and counting, it's the only one of the "last generation" consoles that developers are still producing new games for! 'Nuff said!
4. Sony Playstation Portable – A big winner amongst teenagers and young adults, the PSP is like having a PS2 in your pocket! It brings a lot to the table as far as a handheld multi entertainment unit is concerned. It plays a multitude of media formats such as games, movies and MP3's. Plus, it now comes in an Ice Silver color. Can you ask for anything more? I think not!
3. Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite – This 360 is at the top of the food chain! Unlike the 360 core system, this baby comes with an ultra cool Black finish and a humongous 120GB hard drive (bye-bye file storage problems!). You want a Next-Gen System? It doesn't get much better than this!
2. Nintendo DS Lite - The #1 selling gaming system two years running, you can't go wrong with the Nintendo DS! At press time, this little system has outsold the 360, Wii, and PS3 COMBINED! The DS boasts a huge library of games and the ability to play and chat worldwide through Nintendo Wi-Fi. With a wide array of colors to choose from, what's not to like?
1. Nintendo Wii – For many shoppers, finding a Nintendo Wii this holiday season has been nearly impossible due to short supply and high demand. Well, the demand for this amazing system is well deserved! Who can resist the Wii's interactive games that involve swinging the remote like a real golf club, tennis racket or bat (among other things)? Even though the motion-sensing technology didn't work very well with some of the Wii's early games, it's hard to deny the potential.....and the appeal!
